Kenneth Blacker: A non-inertial frame of reference is one that is accelerating, for example an elevator.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-inertial_referenc...++++++
Oswaldo Rayburn: If I'm flying in a plane with you which involves us both going the same direction and the same speed, then you and I are in the same inertial frame of reference. If we're standing "still" tossing a ball back and forth, because you and I are in the same inertial frame of reference, it doesn't matter if the plane is traveling 5000 MPH or 500 MPH the calculations you would make would be the same, just as if you are on the earth's surface. If however the plane is speeding up slowing down or banking one way or another, then all that needs to be taken into account, and we're no longer in the same inertial frame of reference relative to each other since inertial forces would vary in different parts of the aircraft. Bear in mind acceleration in physics is defined as a change in velocity, not nece! ssarily simply going faster. If the principle of "inertial frame of reference" did not exist, then thousands of miles per hour gale Force winds would flatten everything on the planet as it rotated...Show more

Bruce Calise: challenging thing. query on bing and yahoo. this could actually help!
Jesusita Dykhoff: This Site Might Help You.RE:Example of non-inertial frame of reference?I need a creative example of non-inertial frame of reference and of inertial frame of reference.
Shaunta Paap: Creative?Non-inertial reference frame:A reference frame pinned to the body of a fly in motion.A point on the trailing edge of a flag in the wind. The read head of your disk drive while accessing a file.Your teacher's chair.
