My computer is 512 megabits?

Autumn Vacio: Depends what you're doing. That PC won't run Windows 7 or 8 though.

Logan Bero: you are saying your computer is 64 megaBYTES. (512/8=64)(1Megabyte=8Megabits) Your computer sucks. get a new one.

Jonie Lauria: 512mb of RAM? That won't really play many games nowadays or stream a HD video very well, but it's fine. You really don't need a lot of power if you're just going to browse the web and do odd things on the pc. But, if you want to play modern games then you would need a lot higher than that; around 2 - 3gb of RAM plus suitable components such as a gaming video card and stuff. I currently rock a laptop from 2003 with 512mb of RAM and it works like a dream. So yes, I would say that 512mb is just fine....Show more

Jimmie Doerfler: I'm assuming that is the amount of Ram you have... If so I'd recommend at least 2 Gigabytes of Ram. You also need to worry about the CPU, Internet speed, etc. I video card is optional but can dramatically increase p! erformance. As for the harddrive, the Average person won't need more than 120 Gigabytes, unless you plan to save a ton of pictures, for which I recommend and external harddrive.

Travis Sherrock: If you mean 512 megabytes this must be the amount of RAM memory you have installed and NOT your computer's speed. 512MBytes is NOT enough even if you run Windows XP and you should upgrade to 2Gigabytes of memory, it will really maximize your speed. If you mean 512 megabits per second as the speed for internet connection, this is lightning fast.
