Mark Hovanes: O do not know, but I could suggest this nice story about fitness instructor here http://torontoboom.com/blogs/up-on-the-waves/fitne...
Kate Baune: There is no one required "certification" to be a dance fitness instructor, or to own your own company (Though you should have a business and a dance-fitness background.) As far as starting a company, you'll need licenses and permits as required by your town, bank, etc. What is more important when starting your own dance fitness company would be your ability to teach, your steps/choreography, if your brand is appealing to people, how to market your company and advertising. If you are just looking to start teaching your own kind of dance fitness classes I would say liability insurance, CPR and some videos demonstrating your style (that you could show to people who might hire you) would be most important. Mohamed Szollosi: yes you do. You need some type of certification. First y! ou need a teachers certification in the (PE) Field. Basically that is stating that you have the right to teach people of all ages and you passed all of your test and you know your stuff etc. Then you will need a place for your company. And once when you find a building you have to pass All the inspections. Including the state inspection. Termites etc. You will need a lot of certification and you can start by going to your local Dance Fitness centers or regular fitness centers like gyms and seeing what requirements they had to meet. But I do know for a fact that since it's fitness and you are the one teaching you have to go to school or class for the Phycial Education certification. you also need be first aid and cpr certified. This goes for ALL instructors who want to teach something that has to deal with fitness . L ike dance, bike riding, swimming, gymnastics, cheerleader etc. So those are the three main ones that you need. PE Certification , and First aid/CPR Certifica! tion....Show more
