Land line phone starts beeping during calls?

Janita Tetlow: 2

Corrina Faro: ninety 9% of those issues is a defective equiptment interior your place, a foul telephone, modem, satellite tv for pc field, fax device etc... initiate removing stuff out of your jacks one via one and calling into your line which contain your cellular till the telephone rings well-known... different achievable motives for this worry is water broken jacks.... if each and everything is removed from the jacks and the worry persists, examine the pins of all the jacks (even ones which you do not use) to work out in the event that they are discolored.... the pins could be copper or brass colored, in the event that they are green, or black, then they are water broken and the jack desires to get replaced... finally, the different reason in the back of this worry is flawed equiptment on the line outdoors of your place (yet generally provided that your line is on gentle-span (fiber to the pole - to not be perplexed with FiOS that's fiber to the ! residing house...)...Show more

Nikita Schroepfer: confused by your question... does "hand set rest" mean switch hook? why do you need to dial 9 for a line? do you have centrex? a phone system? etc... once you press the switch hook the call should be disconnected, or placed on hold so you can answer a call waiting or initiate a 3 way call... pressing 9 would provide you with a dial tone, and would in no way reconnect you to someone that might be on hold on another line.. with out further understanding of what is happening there is not much else I can figure...however beeping on your phone, depending on where it is coming from can be:call waitinglow battery indicatorsomeone recording the telephone call (some recorders will beep intermittently to let you know the call is being recorded) technicians working on the line outside, or a line that is close to yours in the telephone cable - a tone generator may be causing induction on your line where you can hear it on your l! ine.....Show more

Erin Arron: Maybe you need a new batte! ry. It it's not that, you need a new phone.
