Here are some examples of short term careers that will get you in this field.Occupational Therapist, Social Worker ( to work for regional centers that serve this population), Special Ed. Advocate (one year of training) visit www.copaa.com, I would say Speech and Language Pathologist but requires quite of bit of patience with the kids.
