What jobs outside of Psychology or special education teacher involve working with disabled folks?

Pearlie Medora: I am glad that you are interested in the Special Education field cause there is a great need of professionals in this area. Here are some examples of short term careers that will get you in this field.Occupational Therapist, Social Worker ( to work for regional centers that serve this population), Special Ed. Advocate (one year of training) visit www.copaa.com, I would say Speech and Language Pathologist but requires quite of bit of patience with the kids. There is always the option of being a teacher aid meanwhile you are studying which will allow you to get in the field and not only explore another options but also watch more in detailed if this is really something you would like to pursue.
